Master Singers

The Master Singers, a chorus composed of young men of all ages from southern Utah, will perform on Wednesday Dec. 23 at 7 p.m. Accompanied by Dana Mathews, they will sing many recognizable traditional Christmas carols as solos, duets and in small groups from within the chorus as well. They are directed by Louise Seger, who says, “We are looking forward to this evening celebrating the love that we feel this time of year.”

The tradition of community caroling at the St George Tabernacle on Christmas Eve, begun long ago by the early settlers of the area, will continue on Thursday, Dec. 24, at 7 p.m. as a finale to the season. There will be carols sung by the congregation as well as special numbers by guest performer Jenny Carter Smith, an adjunct professor of voice at Dixie State University who recently performed as a soloist in the 2015 St. George production of “Messiah.” Carole Terry, a former frequent performer at the Saturday noon organ recitals, will return to the organ bench to accompany the carols.

Casual dress is appropriate. The tabernacle’s west entrance accommodates those who require special needs access or an elevator. For more information, visit facebook.com/StGeorgeVC.
