Whitney Shurtleff

Whitney grew up in Salt Lake City and is now living in Southern Utah pretending to go to college. She works for the state of Utah in youth corrections, and is a supervisor at a residential treatment center for troubled teens. Whitney was the editor-in-chief for her high school’s literary magazine, and is a founding member of the Wham Bam Slam team in Saint George. She competed in the National Poetry Slam the past two years, and was crowned Saint George’s 2015 grand slam champion. In her spare time she likes to avoid adult responsibilities by laying in her hammock.
