The Cedar City Arts Council Networking Social will be held on Monday, June 1, at 7 p.m. in Festival Hall to celebrate the accomplishments of mini-grant recipients. The social will be held in the upstairs Heritage Center Conference Room. Attendees can use the Heritage Center office entrance near the fountain at the southwest corner of the building.

The Board of Trustees of the Cedar City Arts Council hosts three socials per year featuring performances and short presentations. The social is free, and southern Utah art lovers–as well as anyone with an interest in the literary, performing, and visual arts–is invited to attend.

Cedar City Arts Council president Deborah Snider said they consider this akin to an ‘annual meeting.’

“We circulate a ‘State of the Arts Council’ document that indicates our long-term strategic plan,” Snider said, “and we discuss our accomplishments over the past year toward those goals.”

David Bolsover and Bob Gordon’s jazz ensemble will provide live music while attendees learn more about the plans and accomplishments of the Cedar City Arts Council. Recent mini-grant recipient, Leesa Ricci, will present a collection of astronomical photography, and Asher Swan’s art photography will be exhibited. Refreshments by JaNell Wood of Simply Delicious Confections will be served.
