Challenger British Soccer Camps come to St. George and Hurricane in June

The Independent

With the Women’s World Cup only a few months away, and with around 20 million Americans now playing soccer, the top soccer company in the United States and Canada, Challenger Sports, is holding their “British Soccer Camps” right here in southern Utah in June.

The camps will run Monday through Friday, and each child will be coached by a member of Challenger Sports’ elite team of 1,200 British soccer coaches, who are flown to the USA exclusively to work on these programs.

Challenger British Soccer Camps provide an innovative daily regimen of foot skills, moves, juggling, tactical practices, and daily tournament play. Challenger also weaves lessons on respect, responsibility, integrity, leadership, and sportsmanship into the campers’ daily routine. The British Soccer Camp program provides a unique cultural experience for the players, teaching them about life, customs, and traditions of other countries. The campers are asked to make up soccer chants, wear the team colors of their country, bring flags, and learn as much as they can about the country they represent.

Rates are $91 for 3-year-olds, $105 for 4- and 5-year-olds, and $142 for children ages 6-16. The camp will start at 9 a.m. each morning. Children ages 6-16 will attend 3-hour-long sessions. Children ages 4 and 5 will attend camp from 9-10:30 a.m., and 3-year-olds will attend from 11 a.m. until noon. For an extra $50, campers may take part in additional 2-hour sessions to take place Monday-Thursday afternoons. Each camper will receive a soccer camp T-shirt, a soccer ball, a giant soccer poster, and a personalized skills performance evaluation.

Teams are welcome to attend and receive a week of focused instruction to prepare them for the fall season. Team camp rates are available.

Challenger Sports has been conducting soccer camps in the U.S. for over 20 years, holding over 4,000 soccer programs and coaching over 200,000 players between the ages of 3 and 19. In addition to coaching youth players throughout the country, Challenger Sports will also run hundreds of free parent/coach soccer clinics throughout the country in partnership with the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
