Chimani, Inc., recently announced the launch of its latest mobile travel app. The new app is a guide to Capitol Reef National Park, known for the Waterpocket Fold — a wrinkle in the earth that has created stunning red rock cliffs, canyons, domes, and bridges. The Capitol Reef National Park app by Chimani is available for free download on the iOS App Store, Google Play, and the Amazon AppStore.
This latest app by Chimani provides users with a mobile tool for planning a trip to Capitol Reef National Park and enjoying the various attractions in and around the park. Capitol Reef National Park joins an existing suite of more than 25 free National Parks apps offered by the Portland, Maine-based company.
“We’re extremely excited to launch the fifth app of the ‘Mighty Five’ Utah National Parks,” said Kerry Gallivan, Chimani’s CEO. “In this, the centennial year of our National Park Service, visitation to our national parks is expected to reach an all-time high, and the new Capitol Reef app will join our existing Arches, Bryce Canyon, Canyonlands, and Zion National Park apps in helping travelers explore Utah’s great treasures.”
The Capitol Reef National Park app by Chimani boasts rich, detailed information on the park:
—Interactive guides and maps to more than 220 unique points of interest.
—A calendar of ranger-led events.
—Sunrise and sunset times with top viewing locations.
—An augmented reality viewer.
—A photo gallery with more than 140 high-quality images.
—An audio-guided auto tour.
“With limited cellular connectivity in the Capitol Reef area, especially within the park, we’re pleased to be able to help visitors navigate the park without the need for a cell or WiFi connection on our app,” said Gallivan.
Chimani, Inc. creates apps for national parks and the outdoors. Chimani’s growing suite of apps includes guides to Acadia, Yosemite, Yellowstone, the Grand Canyon, and over 20 other National Parks.
