The touring van has stopped, but the engine is warming back up. Recently returning from a tour, Dick Earl heads back on the road on Monday, April 27, for a tour from New York down to Memphis with stops all along the way, but before he goes, George’s Corner has him playing his last show in the area before leaving on Saturday, April 25. He will be playing his soul grabbing, deep, bluesy music starting at 8 p.m. after the downtown Southern Utah Culinary Arts Festival wraps up its festivities and running until 11:00 p.m.
Earl’s music is the result of four decades of living the blues, loving rock ‘n’ roll, and learning life’s lessons by leaning on faith. His musical influences include Jimi Hendrix, Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, Howlin Wolf, Robert Johnson, Sonny Boy Williamson, Little Walter, Johnny Cash, ZZ Top, Stevie Ray Vaughn, BB King, Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin, Ray Charles, and others.
All of the touring has Dick Earl playing tight and sounding spectacular. It will be nearly impossible to stop the feet from moving and jumping up to dance. But why would you want to?
And when the show is over, don’t forget the arrangement George’s Corner has with Taxi USA. When calling for a cab from George’s Corner, fare is only $6.00 to any destination within the city. Can’t really beat this as a designated driver option. Be sure to plug to plug the Taxi USA number into your phone, (435) 656-1500.
