The Dixie Electro-Acoustic Performance Ensemble will premiere music composed by DSU faculty and students for acoustic instruments and computers March 31 at 7:30 p.m. The concert will be held in the Mainstage Theater of the Eccles Fine Arts Center on DSU’s campus. The concert is free and open to the public.

“This is the first semester of the D.E.A.P. ensemble at DSU,” said Dr. Robert Matheson, assistant professor of music. “This ensemble utilizes a variety of electro-acoustic techniques, software, and hardware combined with acoustic instruments to create new works for live performance. The students and I are excited about this new performance ensemble and the music that they are creating.”
