Dixie Watercolor Society holds art show and competitionThe Dixie Watercolor Society will hold its semi-annual art show and competition Oct. 10–22 at Gallery 35 on Main Street in St. George. Hours are 10–7 p.m. each day excluding Sunday. Winners will be announced Friday, Oct. 14, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Gallery 35. Refreshments will be served. Both the art show and announcement ceremony are free and open to the public.

Gallery 35 is an all-inclusive watercolor gallery, and the show will be held there instead of the Main Street Plaza foyer, where the event was held in the past.

This show is a competition for Dixie Watercolor Society members, and their best work will be displayed. All works will be for sale. The show will be judged by artist Lian Quan Zhen, who will be in town for a workshop.

The Watercolor Society promotes transparent watercolors and gives local artists a venue to display their work. Gallery 35 is located at 35 N. Main St. in the old Main Street Ballroom (the old Dixie Theater).
