Folks will be flocking to the mountains on July 24 and 25 for the annual Duck Creek Days event held at the charming mountain escape in Kane County’s Duck Creek Village.

Participants from California, Nevada, Arizona, and Utah look forward to this annual event situated in the pristine setting on Cedar Mountain because of the cooler mountain temperatures, the stunning setting of the Dixie National Forest, and the variety of activities during the festival.

Among the festivities will be music and entertainment, loads of kids’ games and activities, a chili cook-off, prize drawings (including the chance to win a Polaris 900 RZR UTV), and loads of vendors selling everything from barbeque sandwiches to concealed-pistol purses.

Duck Creek Village is located in the heart of hundreds of miles of ATV and UTV trails, numerous ideal camping locations, and favorite fishing holes, such as Mammoth Creek, Navajo Lake, Aspen Mirror Lake, and many more.

“This festival is great because you can enjoy the festival and then take off on a fun ATV group ride, do some fishing and come back for more festival fun!” said Las Vegas resident Michelle McGinn. “Our family looks forward to this event all year!”

Cabin rentals in Duck Creek Village usually book out early, but other options are available along historic and scenic highway 89 in Glendale, Orderville, and Mt. Carmel, including the Best Western Thunderbird lodge, which is located just 30 minutes from Duck Creek Village at the Mt. Carmel junction.

Duck Creek Village is located 11 miles east of the junction of U.S. Route 89 and State Route 14 in southern Utah. Route 14 is a favorite scenic motorcycle passage, and Cedar Mountain attracts outdoor enthusiasts for hiking, camping, mountain biking, ATV riding, horseback riding, and fishing.
