Frontier Folklife Festival returns to Cedar City

The fourth annual Frontier Folklife Festival will take place in Cedar City June 21 and 22. The festival will run from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. June 21 and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 22. The event is free and open to the public.
Original art, live music, and living history demonstrations and activities combine to celebrate the heritage of southern Utah. The Frontier Folk Festival promises to be filled with remarkable talent. Featured performers include Common Ground, Mountain Top Sound, Karyn Whittemore, the Washburn Family Bluegrass Band, Marty Warburton and Home Girls, Bill and Loretta Westbrook, the Southern Utah String Quartet,and the John Stone Trio. “The Foundation is thrilled to offer this family-friendly experience to the community,” said museum foundation chair Mike Scott. “It is a wonderful opportunity for us all to experience our heritage, both past and present.” Launched four years ago in cooperation with the museum foundation, the Frontier Folklife Festival has become a celebration of history, the visual arts, and folk music. Food vendors will also be on hand.
