Duecesouthern utah adoptable pets Deuce

Deuce is a big, goofy boy who just wants to play and have fun! With that being said, he needs an owner who will be patient and consistent with him to help him be the very best dog he can be. He is smart and catches on quickly. Eager to please, Deuce will be an awesome companion with just a bit of training. Deuce is approximately 5 years old and will need to be neutered prior to going into his new home. This energetic, black-and-white mixed breed is ready to run and romp with anyone who can keep up with him. He is a large dog and isn’t aware of his size, so he may not be a good fit with little kids. Deuce would be great with someone who is very active and will take him out on long hikes. He would probably love to be out on a farm or ranch where he could have a lot of land to roam around on.

Daveysouthern utah adoptable pets Davey

Davey is a very sweet, medium-haired male kitty who has been neutered and is current on his shots. This handsome boy loves to receive attention. He also enjoys playing with interactive toys. Davey has the cutest little white toes, too!

Oreosouthern utah adoptable pets Oreo

This big fella is Oreo, and just like the cookie he is named after, he has a very sweet center! Oreo came to the shelter as a stray, so they don’t know anything about his past. He is a large tomcat, so we can just imagine the scrapes and scuffles he has been in. However, in spite of his rough exterior, this kitty enjoys a gentle touch and kind petting. Oreo uses his litterbox like a pro. He would love nothing more than to perform varmint control on your property. The reward for all of his hard work would be fresh food and water every day along with a nice warm and safe spot where he can nap. A gentle head scratch would sure be appreciated, too. Looking for efficient, adorable, and furry pest control? Oreo is the kitty for you. Get in and meet him today. Oreo will need to be neutered prior to going into his new home.

Rosie

Rosie is a 3-month-old pit mix puppy. She is a fast learner and very motivated to please you. She is a playful puppy but does enjoy long naps cuddled up with you. She would love to be a lap dog if you would let her. Rosie is good with dogs of all sizes, cats, and children.

Princesssouthern utah adoptable pets Princess

Princess is a 1-year-old tabby who is just finishing up nursing three darling kittens. She is ready to find her forever home. She is a bonded pair with Cooper, and we would love to see them adopted together if possible. Princess is currently at a foster home with her sweetheart.

Coopersouthern utah adoptable pets Cooper

Cooper is a very sweet young (1-year-old) male cat looking for his forever family. He was part of a bonded pair (with Princess), but Princess was pregnant and now has three darling kittens. Cooper can be adopted alone, or if you are looking to adopt two cats and can wait a few weeks for the second one, we would love to reunite these two lovebirds. Cooper is currently at a foster home with his sweetheart.

Best Friends Animal Sanctuary

Best Friends Animal Sanctuary is located five miles north of Kanab at 5001 Angel Canyon Road. All adoptable cats and dogs are spayed or neutered and up to date on vaccinations. If you have questions about a specific pet or the adoption process, please email adoptions@bestfriends.org. If you’d like to apply to adopt one of these featured pets, click the link to their bio where you will find the adoption survey.

Angelsouthern utah adoptable pets Angel

Angel is doing her very best to grow into her name. Born in 2015, she still has lots to learn and is excited about life. She’s working on her manners at the sanctuary and is very smart and willing to please. Angel is sweet and loves the company of people and other dogs. She’d do great in an active home with a playful doggie pal and no cats. Could you be the one to give Angel her wings — and her very own forever home? Angel has a generous sponsor who will cover her adoption costs.

Bunnysouthern utah adoptable pets Bunny

Bunny’s eyes say it all: “I’m not sure if you’re nice, or if you might hurt me.” Since she was originally found as a stray in Arizona, no one knows what she’s endured in her past. Whatever it was, it’s made her quite fearful and cautious around people she doesn’t know. Although Bunny keeps her distance until she’s sure she can trust you, she is happy and excited after that and enjoys being petted. She also loves to play with toys and other dogs. She’ll need to find a very stable home where she can take comfort in a reliable routine. She is also looking for someone who is patient and will work to earn her trust. She promises it will be well worth it. Sanctuary visit required.

Cowboysouthern utah adoptable pets Cowboy

Cowboy is an adorable little dog with a huge personality. He likes to be a goofball and is very entertaining to watch when he’s exploring a new place or playing with his toys. He seems to be on his own mission, which he takes very seriously. Born in 2006, Cowboy is still very young in mind, body, and spirit. Although he tends to guard high-value items like treats and he is picky about his doggie friends, he has a gentle nature and is very affectionate. He loves to crawl into your lap for some extra love and attention. If you’ve got the room in your life for a charming entertainer, Cowboy would love to meet you.

Asanasouthern utah adoptable pets Asana

Asana is a young tri-colored tiger with big serious eyes, a lot of gold, and a perfect orange diadem on her forehead. Born in 2011, she came from a shelter in California. When she first arrived at Best Friends, she kept her distance from people. But as time has gone by, she has come out of her shell more and more. She enjoys wand toys and likes when you talk to her. Asana has a sweet nature but is sensitive to touch along her spine. The slight crook of her hips and tail end are due to a healed pelvic fracture. This has caused her to be incontinent and she has to be expressed twice a day. She’s quiet and thoughtful, and she would love your gentle attention.

Blue Eyessouthern utah adoptable pets Blue Eyes

Blue Eyes can take a little time to get to like people, but if you bribe her with food she will be your best friend forever. She seems to think she’s the only cat in the world because other felines just don’t exist to her. Born in 2012, she came from a Utah shelter. Blue Eyes is diabetic, so she gets daily insulin shots and takes oral medication to support her pancreas. Because of her condition, she drinks a lot of water and is always hungry. She will even beg for food. Blue Eyes is sweet and quiet, and she’s looking for a quiet home. She’s good about traveling and adjusts to new situations easily.

Cabosouthern utah adoptable pets Cabo

Meet one of the legendary “rafter cats” at Best Friends! Cats like these make wonderful companions-from-afar. You can’t hold them or pet them — at least, not yet. But they think and feel and love, just like the rest of us. And if you give them the chance, they can be a real part of your home. They just haven’t had any experience being pets. Cabo came to Best Friends from a Utah shelter. Born in 2015, he gets along well with other cats. Shy cats like these have always been an important part of Best Friends’ culture. They have special spirits and deep personalities. And this beautiful cat would love to be a part of your life.
