Maxie is a very nice cat.  She is approximately 4 years old. Maxie is sometimes looked over in the shelter because she is a black cat. Black cats are just as lovable and wonderful as other cats. We do not understand why this happens, but Best Friends has devoted an entire adoption promotion titled “Back in Black” to spotlight and help black kittens and cats get adopted. Please give Maxie a chance at a “happily ever after” tale of happiness and love. Maxie is in the shelter waiting on you to rescue her today.

Because he has been in the shelter for so long, he will need understanding a love from his new family.

Bridger is a mountain cur; however, he is afraid of guns. His family wanted a hunting dog, and when they found out Bridger did not like the sound of a gun, they didn’t want him anymore. He is good with kids and would make a wonderful family pet. He has a great personality. Bridger isn’t afraid of strangers and gets along well with other dogs. He would like to find an active family who loves the outdoors. Bridger is an indoor dog but would like a home with a fenced yard so he can enjoy playing outside and be safe. He is only 2 years old and weighs approximately 40 pounds.

Bridger is a special needs dog because he is afraid of loud noises. He is destructive if left alone. Bridger will need training and a very loving family who will understand his needs.

Isaah

southern utah adoptable pets isaah

Isaah is a beautiful black DSH male cat. He is about 2 years old and FIV positive. It is important to realize that a positive test for FIV is not a mandatory death sentence. With a high-protein diet and aggressive treatment of secondary infections, an FIV-positive cat can lead a reasonably normal life span. FIV is not passed to humans. Saliva to blood (biting) is generally accepted as the primary source of spreading the virus, and it is unlikely (but not impossible) that cats will spread FIV to other cats by drinking or eating out of the same food dish or by mutual grooming. We have two other male cats that are FIV positive. All three get along and could be adopted together.

Doc
