Southern Utah Adoptable Pets: PAWS

PAWS Adoption Center is located at 1125 W 1130 N in St. George. PAWS office hours are from noon to 6 p.m. Tuesdays–Fridays and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays. The office is closed Sundays and Mondays. Please submit an application at dixiepaws.org. Call (435) 688-9748, or email officepaws@gmail.com. All pets are microchipped, spayed or neutered, and current on vaccinations. Below are the pets currently available for adoption from the shelter.

Wilma

southern utah adoptable pets: Wilma-1Wilma is a female DSH brown Tabby and is approximately 2 years old. She came to PAWS in June with a bad eye. The eye couldn’t be saved and had to be removed. She is often overlooked because of this. Wilma is a very nice and quiet cat who loves attention and is litter-box trained.

 

 

 

Cora

southern utah adoptable pets: Cora-1Cora is a 5-year-old female lilac point DLH Siamese. She has the most beautiful blue eyes and a great personality. She loves to be with people and to be scratched. Cora gets along with other cats very well. She has been at PAWS since August and is litter-box trained.

 

 

 

Hollie

southern utah adoptable pets Hollie-1Hollie is a 2-year-old female DSH flamepoint. She came to PAWS in June during her pregnancy. Hollie has finished her duties as a mother and is now ready for adoption. She is a very mellow, sweet cat. Hollie has gorgeous blue eyes and is very beautiful. She has no problem being around other cats and is litter-box trained.

 

 

Jack

southern utah adoptable pets: Jack1Jack is approximately 2 years old and is a Min-Pin mix. He came to PAWS in April from a high-kill California shelter and was covered in ticks. Jack is shy when he first meets someone new but warms up very quickly. He is the perfect size, weighing in at about 15 pounds. He loves to play and gets along with other dogs. Jack doesn’t do well with men or children; however, he is great with other dogs. We’re looking for a home with women only for him. He really deserves to find his forever family and home. Giddeon

southern utah adoptable pets: Giddeon1-1Giddeon is approximately 2 years old and is an Australian shepherd/pit mix. He is bundles of energy and fun! He is looking for an active family with older or no children. He seems to be great with most other dogs. Giddeon’s adoption comes with two free training sessions at the Woof Center to get him off to a good start in his new home. You can meet him by appointment only.

 

 

Southern Utah Adoptable Pets: One More Chance

One More Chance has a litter of kittens that were born without eyelids. They have undergone eyelid reconstruction surgery and are now ready to be adopted. Please open your hearts to these sweet little pets. They have had a tough time in life so far and deserve to be loved and cared for. Southern Utah Adoptable Pets: City of Mesquite Animal Shelter

The City of Mesquite Animal Shelter is located at 795 Hardy Way and is open for adoptions from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Mondays through Saturdays and from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sundays. Please call (702) 346-7415 during these hours to speak to the front desk, or visit mesquiteanimalshelter.petfinder.com. Animal Control may be reached by phone or voicemail at (702) 346-5268. Below are the pets currently available for adoption from the shelter.

The City of Mesquite Animal Shelter is hosting the second annual “Christmas with the Donkeys” open house to thank Mesquite and the Arizona Strip for their continued support. The public is invited to get pictures taken with Santa and his donkey, enjoy complimentary hot dogs and refreshments, participate in a raffle, and attend a book signing by Mark Meyers, executive director of Peaceful Valley Donkey Rescue from The Texas Headquarters. This event will take place at on Dec. 10 from noon to 3 p.m. MST.

Blacktop

southern utah adoptable pets blacktop-2Blacktop was found as a stray on the interstate. He was saved by a family and brought to the shelter the next day. The family that he stayed with had children and dogs, and Blacktop was great with them. He is a happy dog, knows basic commands like “sit,” and behaves very well on a leash. He loves playing with toys and getting a lot of attention. Blacktop is approximately 1 year old.

 

Holly

southern utah adoptable pets: HollyHolly was found as a stray. She is a shy little kitten, but she does like to be pet and receive affection. She has a squeaky voice that lets you know when she wants attention. Holly is approximately 4 months old and just learning to play with toys. She is completely black and is available for adoption now. 

 

 

Moshi

southern utah adoptable pets: Moshi(1)Moshi was also found as a stray. She recently came back from a foster home where she stayed to have a litter of kittens and take care of them until they were weaned. She is very friendly and loves attention, but she is a bit shy given all of the changes in her life. She needs to gain weight from nursing the kittens, but she is a really beautiful cat with dilute tortoiseshell colors.
