Timothysouthern utah adoptable pets Timothy

Timothy is a dwarf Hotot bunny and is so sweet and easy to care for. He is potty trained (for the most part), using a corner litter box with compressed paper pellets. He loves fruit treats and hay and eats regular pelleted rabbit food. Timothy’s favorites outside of his normal diet are carrots, blueberries, papaya, and strawberries. While Timothy hasn’t been handled a lot, he is very curious and friendly and gets downright chill when he’s turned into a bunny burrito … that means when he is wrapped in a blanket or towel. This method would make even trimming his nails a breeze. To find out more about Timothy or to arrange to meet him, call Jean at (435) 229-4674. Timothy’s adoption fee (including cage) is $50. Timothy is also microchipped.

Yoshisouthern utah adoptable pets Yoshi

Yoshi is approximately 11–12 years old. He is very gentle, calm, potty and crate trained, and good with adults, kids, and other dogs (haven’t seen him with a cat). He would be fine with respectful children but not with toddlers. He is losing his sight and gets eye drops daily. He’ll be your sweet companion, laying by your feet or on your lap and listening to you without interrupting. To meet Yoshi or find out more about him, contact Phyllis at (435) 705-9227. His adoption fee is $100. Yoshi is eligible for our Seniors Helping Seniors Program.

Cleosouthern utah adoptable pets Cleo

Cleo is a beautiful young dog. She is approximately 2 years old. She is eager to find her new home. She is very smart and surprisingly patient and well-behaved. Although just beginning her training, she knows her name, walks well on a leash, and sits on command. She loves to run after a tennis ball and is pretty good about bringing it back to you. She gets along well with other dogs at the dog park. She is assertive but listens to her person. Cleo has a hernia that the vet says is not operable, but she is not in any pain or discomfort from it so it is nothing to be concerned about. To welcome Cleo into your family, contact Aggie (435) 773-1667 or Sue at (801) 554-3378. Cleo’s adoption fee is $125.

Oliversouthern utah adoptable pets Oliver

Ollie is a beautiful young dog. He is approximately 2 years old. He is eager to find his new home. He sits on command and is learning to walk on a leash. He loves to run and gets along well with other dogs at the dog park but tends to herd the pack. To welcome Ollie into your family, contact Aggie (435) 773-1667 or Sue at (801) 554-3378. Ollie’s adoption fee is $125.

Banditsouthern utah adoptable pets banditxx

Freckle-faced Bandit is sure to steal your heart away! This beautiful boy came to the shelter because his owners were moving and could not take him with them. Bandit was very frightened when he first came here, but with a bit of time and patience and a lot of love, he is doing great now. They were told he is a blend of Australian shepherd, border collie, heeler, and probably a few other things mixed in for good measure. Medium-sized Bandit is about 4 years old. He is house trained, absolutely loves camping, and especially adores being petted. Bandit just wants to be right next to you and will happily roll over for belly rubs. Bandit is super sweet and extra cuddly. However, they were told that he does not do well with little kids or other dogs. They aren’t sure how he is with cats. Bandit is a wonderful dog who is looking for his fur-ever home where he will truly be loved and cherished always.

Little Finnegan is actually a FinneGAL! This petite sweetheart is such a treasure. She just adores being petted! He would love a home where he can take naps in the sunshine and watch the birds from a big window. Thai uses his litter box like a pro. He would probably do best in a home with older kids who are gentle and respectful. They are not sure how Thai is with dogs. He seems curious about the other kitties at the shelter. Those spectacular blue eyes of his are sure to melt your heart! Don’t miss out on the chance to meet Thai.

Oreosouthern utah adoptable pets Oreo

This big fella is Oreo, and just like the cookie he is named after, he has a very sweet center! Oreo came to the shelter as a stray, so they don’t know anything about his past. He is a large tomcat, so we can just imagine the scrapes and scuffles he has been in. However, in spite of his rough exterior, this kitty enjoys a gentle touch and kind petting. Oreo uses his litterbox like a pro. He would love nothing more than to perform varmint control on your property. The reward for all of his hard work would be fresh food and water every day along with a nice warm and safe spot where he can nap. A gentle head scratch would sure be appreciated, too. Looking for efficient, adorable, and furry pest control? Oreo is the kitty for you. Get in and meet him today. Oreo will need to be neutered prior to going into his new home.

Gretasouthern utah adoptable pets Greta

Greta is a ball of energy who is always happy to see people she knows and trusts. She loves to play with people and her doggie roommates at the sanctuary. Greta is shy and fearful of strangers and will try to run away when she’s feeling afraid. But other dogs help her learn to trust more quickly. She finds it easier to try new things with a dog buddy by her side. In Dogtown, Greta is working on crate training, riding in a car, and walking without other dogs. Her caregivers are introducing her to new people to improve her social skills. Whenever she learns something new, she loves to keep showing off her new trick. Greta was born in 2014 and came to Best Friends from a humane society in Tennessee. She’ll need a home with a dog buddy who can be a good role model for her and a person who is willing to be patient and work to earn her trust.

Houdinisouthern utah adoptable pets Houdini

Houdini has come a long way. Born in 2003, he was originally rescued from the flood waters of Hurricane Katrina and came to Best Friends through another rescue organization. Shy and fearful of people at first, Houdini has learned that new friends are good and that they often have treats. He likes to go for walks and is a perfect gentleman on a leash. Though he’s in good health overall, Houdini takes medication for arthritis and some joint issues. He doesn’t need much these days; a nap in the sun or a quick dip in the pond makes him quite happy. But most of all, he’d love to experience a safe and loving home of his own. Should you visit Houdini and decide he’s the perfect fit for you, he has a generous sponsor who will pay for his trip home.

Igorsouthern utah adoptable pets Igor

Igor is a big, silly guy who loves playing with people and other dogs once they’ve become his friends. Though some dogs find him a bit too much, he is tolerant and listens to them well. Born in 2012, Igor is eager to please and happy to give hugs to people he knows. His energy is nice and balanced: He likes to walk or run around but is also fine just hanging out. Igor tends to guard food, toys, and his gate. He is working on this at the sanctuary but will need continued practice. He’ll also need practice meeting new people, especially men. Do you have room in your heart for this big, handsome goofball? This dog is featured as part of our Behavior Lifelong In-home Support System Program. Through this program, you will receive pre- and post-adoption training advice from one of our behavior consultants as well as a training plan specifically tailored to the dog’s transition into your home. As an added bonus, this dog’s adoption fee is waived, and if a flight home is needed, that’s free as well!

Hooplasouthern utah adoptable pets Hoopla

An adorable round face with big yellow eyes! Hoopla is a curious cat who wants to watch everything going on all the time. She was one of hundreds of cats rescued from Pahrump, Nevada in a case of animal neglect. It was very sad! And neglect left Hoopla with a skittishness that’s going to be tough to recover from. But she can do it! Look in her eyes and you’ll see. “I want to trust you. I want to get pets like other cats. I just can’t do it on my own.” But she watches you. And she’s interested. And she wants to learn to be like the others! Hoopla is terrific with other cats, so she should be fine if you have some in your home. She is in great health no problems. Born in just 2005, she’s got a gorgeous coat, and she likes to play with toys. It’s been a long journey. Can you help this curious cat come out of her shell?

Glittersouthern utah adoptable pets Glitter

Glitter is a sassy little girl who likes to snuggle up with all the boy cats. A bit bossy with other girls, she thinks she’s the queen bee. Born in 2011, this beautiful kitty came from a Utah rescue group. In good health, she’ll run up to you for a bowl of food but doesn’t quite trust people enough for petting yet. Could Glitter add some sparkle to your home?

Irenasouthern utah adoptable pets Irena

Irena is an easygoing and happy girl. She’s talkative and will ask for attention. Though she likes being petted, if you rub her belly too much she’ll gently grab your hand to tell you she’s had enough. She doesn’t play with other cats, but she gets along with them just fine. Since being here at the sanctuary, Irena has learned to walk on a harness and leash. She enjoys being outside. She likes to investigate, then hang out in the shade. Irena was born in 2012 and came from a Utah animal shelter. She’s in perfect health and adjusts quickly to new situations. She would be a good match for just about any home.
