JDsouthern utah adoptable pets JD

Poor JD lost his home when his person passed away. But the sweet senior soon found his way to an animal rescue group, and then to Best Friends. This friendly boy loves cuddling up with his people. And with his beautiful coloring and his adorable underbite, how could anyone resist? Born in 2008, JD eats soft, mashed foods because of dental disease. He’ll need to go home with a person who has quick reflexes and a watchful eye, because he will dash out a door and run off just for fun. JD gets along well with other small dogs and would be happy to share a couch or a lap. Do you have room for this adorable, snuggly boy?

Akitasouthern utah adoptable pets Akita

Akita is a sensitive girl who can be shy and fearful of new people. It doesn’t take long to get into her good graces, however. Once you do she’s the sweetest, happiest, most fun-loving dog. Born in 2011, she’s silly, playful and active. Akita has a tendency to guard her food, and she does not do well with cats. She currently lives as a single dog at the sanctuary, and that’s what seems to make her happiest. Do you have room in your heart for a shy, sweet and sensitive girl? If so, Akita would love to meet you.

Holy Molysouthern tuah adoptable pets Holy Moly

Holy Moly is like a giant puppy with his zest for life. He’s silly and has a great sense of humor and a wonderful smile. He loves to snuggle and to play, and he tries really hard whenever he’s learning anything new. Although he has degenerative joint disease, medications and supplements, as well as hydrotherapy and chiropractic appointments, keep him feeling his best. Though he does tire quickly, he’s able to stay active doing agility, swimming, going for walks, playing with squeaky toys and wrestling with his doggie friends. He also loves car rides. Born in 2014, Holy Moly has some obsessive-compulsive tendencies. He has a hard time staying focused when he’s tired or excited. He has struggled in the past with grabbing his leash and shaking it vigorously while walking. Dogtown trainers and caregivers have been working with him on this and have taught him to hold a toy in his mouth instead. Holy Moly will need to go home with someone who can understand and work with him when he gets tired or frustrated. He has learned impulse control and can usually calm down quickly. He is learning to pay attention and follow many training cues. Holy Moly is an incredibly sweet boy and it’s a joy to have him as a companion and friend.

Jadesouthern utah adoptable pets JADE

Jade is one of the terrific adoptable dogs at That BAM Place in Hurricane, UT. You can see what a beautiful girl Jade is but she’s not just a pretty face–she knows “sit”, of course, but will listen and is keen to learn if there is a treat to be had. Jade is a young adult at approximately one-year-old. Jade knows how to use a dog door, loves to play with squeaky balls, enjoys chewing on hard bones, walks well on a leash and plays with their other dogs (large and small). BAM recently took Jade to the vet after she jumped off of something and limped. They found that she may have some arthritis in her elbow but short walks and regular play are still great exercises for her. BAM also learned there that she may have lived with cats previously as the clinic cat was practically rubbing on her with little more reaction than a sniff. If you are interested in Jade please text or call Julie at (435) 773-5209.

Oscarsouthern utah adoptable pets OSCAR

Meet BAM’s handsome, adoptable Oscar!! We know. He doesn’t look poodle/springer but that’s what his DNA says. Oscar is the youngest 10 year old you’ll likely ever meet. He’s filled with seemingly boundless energy, he knows his basic commands, he gets along with other dogs and all of the people he’s had the opportunity to meet. Oscar was adopted 9 years ago and has had one family during that time. Unfortunately, they recently made a move that he was unable to make with them so he is looking for a forever family. Oscar has previously been given the opportunity to go on unaccompanied walkabouts. Because of this, he has developed the habit of going over the fence to roam. He comes with his own cable that could go in his yard but what he would like most is room to roam or a very secure yard for when he isn’t hanging out inside with his peeps. Oscar recently had a dental and a malignant tumor removed from his side which the vet believes was removed entirely. To adopt or learn more about Oscar, text or call Julie at (435) 773-5209.

Sabrinasouthern utah adoptable pets Sabrina

After being hit by a car, little Sabrina spent 8 weeks in a cast while her bones healed. She’s 10 years old but loves to adventure by car, trail, or river. Snuggles are her favorite, but she’s not a couch potato. Sabrina lives with several big dogs and enjoys their company. Never once have they heard her bark. Sabrina would be great in any home but, even with her cast off, she will still need tender care until her bones are strong. Sabrina does require daily medication for an enlarged heart but nothing stops this little dog from living life to its fullest. They are still working on house training, but the process is slow due to her broken bones. Sabrina sleeps through the night without urinating and does not urinate on the carpet but will on tile. Her cast may be at fault, and now with it removed, she’ll be more agile and move more easily. To meet Sabrina or find out more about her, contact Andrea or A.J. at (612) 756-2374. Sabrina’s adoption fee is $100 and she is also eligible for their Seniors Helping Seniors Program.

Nelliesouthern utah adoptable pets NELLIE

Nellie’s adoption fee is $125. To meet Nellie, contact David at (435) 862-2207.
