Southern Utah Adoptable Pets: City of Mesquite Animal Shelter

The City of Mesquite Animal Shelter is located at 795 Hardy Way and is open for adoptions from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Mondays through Saturdays and from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sundays. Please call (702) 346-7415 during these hours to speak to the front desk, or visit mesquiteanimalshelter.petfinder.com. Animal Control may be reached by phone or voicemail at (702) 346-5268. Below are the pets currently available for adoption from the shelter.

Snooky

southern utah adoptable pets snooky1Snooky was found as a stray. She is approximately 2 years old. She is a beautiful dog who knows basic commands like “sit,” “stay,” “down,” “roll over,” and “shake.” She behaves well on a leash. She is very friendly and playful and loves people. She is being groomed Friday to get rid of mats in her pretty hair. This is absolutely one great dog.

 

 

Daisy

southern utah adoptable pets daisyDaisy’s owner fell ill and could no longer care for her. She is very friendly and loves people; she never stops purring. She may have some flame point and Persian in her mix. She needs a dietary routine, but she is calm and easy to handle. 

 

 

 

Autumn

southern utah adoptable pets autumnAutumn is a stray and is approximately 2 years old. She is very friendly and loves people. She is very calm and easygoing. She even comes to you when she is called. 

 

 

 

 

Godiva

southern utah adoptable pets godivaGodiva was found as a stray. She is a very beautiful dog with gray-and-white markings. She is a friendly girl who loves to play with toys or just sit beside you on the bench. She doesn’t seem bothered by the other dogs, although she has not been in the yard with another dog. Godiva is approximately 2 years old.

 

 


Dino

southern utah adoptable pets dino-2Dino was found as a stray after he’d spent a few weeks roaming around a garage. He is a very shy gentleman and doesn’t understand what is happening in his life. He is calm and easy to handle but not used to being held. He loves being pet. He is coming out of his shell and will need a quiet home.

 

 


Luna

southern utah adoptable pets luna1Luna was part of family of eight that was turned into the shelter because her owner could no longer care for them. She is a very friendly, loving cat. She likes people and will come when her name is called. She enjoys attention.

 

 

 

 

There are also three 12-week-old kittens in foster care who are in need of homes when they are ready. One of which was blessed with six toes on its front feet.

Southern Utah Adoptable Pets: Ivins Animal Shelter

The Ivins Animal Shelter and Adoption Center is located at 474 N 200 W in Ivins.The shelter’s hours are Mondays and Fridays 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesdays through Thursdays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturdays 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Please call Aggie at (435) 669-7043 or Friends of Ivins Animal Shelter at (435) 628-1049 for more information or to make an appointment.

Friends of Ivins Animal Shelter is sponsoring “Warm Hearts” Adoption Promotion during November. Adoptions fees will be reduced or waived; the fee for dogs is $25 and the fee for cats and kittens will be waived. Check Petfinder.com for information on individual animals. Sabrina

One of Sabrina’s favorite things to do is lay on your lap. Sabrina would make a great addition to a family, couple or single person. She would be your new BFF. Sabrina would like to find her new forever home as soon as possible. Please open your heart and home to Sabrina during this beautiful fall season.

 

Dusty

southern utah adoptable pets dusty-7-15-15Dusty is a handsome Tuxedo Domestic Long-Hair mix. He is a very shy guy and would probably prefer a home without small children. He needs someone who will be patient so he can learn that he is safe. Sometimes we just do not know what kind of stress abandoned cats have been under and they need your love and support. Please consider opening your heart and home to this deserving cat.

 

Vanna

southern utah adoptable pets vanna-6-29-16Vanna has had a sad life. She is approximately 6 months old, and the only home she has known is the shelter. Vanna is a beautiful girl. She needs someone to adopt her that will be patient and understanding, because she will need to learn to be in a family. Trust will probably be an issue, and she cannot be expected to be a cuddlebug. Please open your heart and home to her during this beautiful fall season.

 

Luke

southern utah adoptable pets luke-7-21-16-1Luke is back in the shelter, but it is not his fault. The family had an older large dog, and it was too much for the family to have two large dogs. He is just a little over a year old and out of the puppy stage. Luke is a handsome boy and weighs 55 pounds. He has a good personality and would make a fantastic addition to an active family. Please give Luke a chance to be your new BFF during this beautiful fall season.

 


Bridger

southern utah adoptable pets bridger-8-2-16-2-1Bridger is a mountain cur; however, he is afraid of guns. His family wanted a hunting dog, and when they found out Bridger did not like the sound of a gun, they didn’t want him anymore. He is good with kids and would make a wonderful family pet. He has a great personality. Bridger isn’t afraid of strangers and gets along well with other dogs. He would like to find an active family who loves the outdoors. Bridger is an indoor dog but would like a home with a fenced yard so he can enjoy playing outside and be safe. He is only 2 years old and weighs approximately 40 pounds.

Bridger is a special-needs dog because he is afraid of loud noises. He also has issues when he is left alone for long periods of time. Bridger will need training and a very loving family who will understand his needs. He is a good boy and really needs a second chance.

Southern Utah Adoptable Pets: PAWS

PAWS Adoption Center is located at 1125 W 1130 N in St. George. PAWS office hours are from noon to 6 p.m. Tuesdays–Fridays and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays. Cora

southern utah adoptable pets coraCora is a 5-year-old female lilac-point DLH Siamese. She has the most beautiful blue eyes and a great personality. She loves to be with people and to be scratched. Cora gets along with other cats. She has been at PAWS since August. She is litter-box trained. 

 

 

 

Cappy

southern utah adoptable pets cappyCappy is a 3-year-old male DMH grey, cream, and white cat. He’s such a beautiful boy. Cappy has blue eyes, so he probably has some Siamese in him. He is declawed on the front and is very sweet. 

 

 

 


Taffi

He’s been at PAWS since July and is more than ready to find a family who will love him always and forever. He is litter-box trained, neutered, and up to date on his vaccinations. Come into PAWS and meet this sweetheart.

 

 


Cookie

southern utah adoptable pets cookieCookie is a 15-month-old male DMH Maine Coon mix. He’s a beautiful, big boy who is so sweet. He loves attention and scratches under his chin. Cookie gets along with other cats at PAWS. You need to meet this one!

 

 

 


Boo

She will need lots of exercise, patience, and love. Boo would love to be part of a family who hikes and camps. She loves other dogs, too.

 

 

 

Rocky
