ATV enthusiasts from all over the western U.S. will meet in Kanab on April 29 and 30 and May 1 for the annual Kanab ATV Fun Run. The Utah/Arizona ATV Club hosts this annual ride through scenic trails suitable for all levels of riders. The main event on Saturday will take riders on a unique trail with views of the white cliffs and red pinnacles.
Free guided rides will be available on Friday and Sunday as well. Participants will have endless opportunities to ride at the Coral Pink Sand Dunes, Peek-a-boo Slot Canyon, and Hog Canyon.
Participants should bring their ATVs at the Peek-a-boo staging area off State Route 89, north of Kanab at noon April 29, 8:30 a.m. April 30, and 10 a.m. May 1. There are no reservations. Lunch will also be available for purchase on Saturday for $7, which includes a hamburger, chips, a drink, and dessert.
This is the annual fundraising event for the Utah/Arizona ATV Club to raise money for local projects that benefit all riders in the area. The fundraising activities will include the Fun Run, Split-the-Pot, and a live auction. One of the favorite annual auction items is an ATV trailer. There will be gift certificate and merchandise prizes. The club is also currently selling raffle tickets for a Henry Silver Boy .22 Rifle. Tickets are $1 each and can be purchased at the Kane County Office of Tourism, located at 78 S 100 E in Kanab.
The Utah/Arizona ATV Club helps fund projects to give back to the community and make riding in the area more convenient, enjoyable, and safe. Visitors can now leave on their ATV’s directly from local RV parks and hotels in Kanab to the event because of a new trail system and bridge that the club funded.
All ATVs, OHVs, and trail bikes are welcome at the Kanab ATV Fun Run. Prospective participants who don’t own ATVs can make reservations with local ATV outfitters in the Kanab area. More information is available from the Kanab Visitor Center at (435) 644-5033, at UtAzATVclub.org or by emailing utazatvclubinfo@gmail.com.
