Representatives from the Associated General Contractors of Utah (AGC of Utah) will be at The Learning Center for Families (TLC) for a check presentation ceremony on Monday, Nov. 30, at 10 a.m. The donation will help TLC to expand its early childhood services for families living in Washington City and to help open an additional location in the Washington City area in early 2016.

“We are thrilled to be the recipients of such a generous gift from the AGC of Utah which will really help us meet the growing need in Washington City,” said Suzanne Leonelli, executive director of TLC. “This donation will allow us to offer more Kindermusik classes, hold playgroups closer to where our families live, and have additional work space for our growing staff.”

Since 1993, TLC has helped over 13,000 families with vulnerable infants and toddlers who face challenges such as developmental delays or disabilities, poor health, poverty, or a less-than-optimal home environment. TLC currently operates four family centers located in St. George, Hurricane, Beaver Dam and Colorado City and provides home visiting services to over 500 pregnant women and families every week throughout Washington County and along the Arizona Strip.

The Learning Center for Families is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to its mission of promoting the success of children one family at a time. TLC has a staff of over 70 employees, including special education consultants, occupational and physical therapists, nurses, speech therapists, registered dietitians, licensed clinical social workers, and Kindermusik instructors.
