Leonardo da Vinci will be in Kanab on Tuesday afternoon, May 13. He looks forward to talking with visitors and residents at the Crescent Moon Theatre at 3:30 pm.

Learning that Leonardo was in Salt Lake City for his 562nd birthday celebration – at The Leonardo – Kanab’s Amazing Earthfest organizers moved quickly to book him for Earthfest.

Leonardo lived some 500 years ago in Italy. He was interested in and questioned everything. He didn’t believe books or experts. He pushed the limits – always. And he questioned – constantly. Although now 562 years old, Leonardo’s mind is still sharp and his English language skills are quite good. Question him for yourself! Earthfest’s Steve Hogseth will introduce Leonardo and help with the generation and interpretation of questions on May 13.

Leonardo’s knowledge and perspectives are constrained by his advanced age – but he was generally recognized as several hundred years ahead of his time. He’s also been studying USA and Utah developments and issues in order to be relevant and useful for his Amazing Earthfest gig.

I have been an Earthfest participant and was one of the co-founders of The Leonardo in Salt Lake City. It is my honor and pleasure to  “serve” as Leonardo. I’ve been a fan and student of da Vinci for over 25 years. I’ve also been a professor of engineering at the University of Utah – and a science educator for nearly half a century. Join me – in the guise of Leonardo da Vinci – Tuesday, May 13, 3:30 pm at the Crescent Moon Theatre. Free!

Ciao!
