May I share with you five reasons why I am voting to re-elect Brock Belnap as County Attorney on June 24th.

1. Brock has eleven years of service as the County Attorney. His record in nearly impeccable, which is a remarkable feat when you consider his office handles approximately three thousand cases a year. He has the full endorsement of his well-organized staff of attorneys, paralegals and office personnel.

2. Brock has a strong educational foundation. Both Dixie High School and Dixie College did much for his formative years.  He was Student Body President at Dixie College and co-valedictorian.  He graduated from the University of Utah with a 4.0 grade point average. He then went on to graduate magna cum laude from the distinguished BYU Law School.  He presently serves on the Board of the Dixie College Foundation.

3. Brock has a full grasp of the major issues facing Washington County.  The encroachment of Federal policies and programs on roads and lands in Southern Utah has led Brock to be at the forefront cooperating with the County Commission and other government entities in fighting for our local rights.  Major efforts are presently underway to secure our rights as citizens to use the roads and byways that exist in our county and which the federal government wishes to restrict. It is critical that his expertise continues while the county is in the middle of this battle.

4. Brock has the endorsement of the law enforcement community. His contribution to the creation of an inter-agency communication link between the various city and other law enforcement entities makes Washington County a much safer place to live. Sheriff Pulsipher and the police chiefs are among Brock’s most ardent supporters declaring that because of his open support, the various law enforcement groups have great respect and positive response to one another in their shared responsibilities.

5. Perhaps the most important reason I support Brock is because of his constitutional integrity and philosophy. All citizens deserve the right to fair treatment and equal respect under the law even when it may not be popular or supported by majority feeling.  You can trust Brock to be honest and do that which is right.  The position of the County Attorney is to serve as the chief law enforcement officer in the County and to advise the elected County officials and the citizenry regarding their rights and options under existing law.  Honest and complete respect for the constitution and its resulting legal structure form the basis for the everyday philosophy Brock brings to the office of County Attorney and the sacred trust that the citizens of Washington County have placed in him. In eleven years, he has never compromised his standards.

As you consider your options regarding whom you wish to serve you as County Attorney, consider the experience, integrity and proven track record of Brock. As every vote counts, please remember to vote on June 24, and please invite your family, friends and neighbors to do the same.

Sincerely,

Michele Randall

St. George, Utah
