The Zion Summer Concert Series at the O.C. Tanner Amphitheater is in full swing. They promised eclectic, and this grouping of shows delivers in full.

Saturday, June 6, features local favorite Lyndy Butler taking the Tanner stage. A little bit country, a little bit pop ‘n’ roll, Butler has an ability to connect to an audience of kids or “kids at heart.” With poppy melodies, poignant lyrics, and something special that just makes you smile, you can’t help but fall in love with Folkie-Pop Sweetheart, Lyndy Butler. Joining her will be Sala and the Shakedown from Salt Lake City. Sala brings a wealth of energy and talent to every performance. Catch her now before she moves on to the next level.

On June 13, Dixie State University is proud to welcome the Randy Anderson Band back to the Tanner stage. A staple in Las Vegas for many years, the Randy Anderson Band is a country variety band which plays the best of new and traditional country music, as well as oldies and classic rock. This award-winning 5-piece act was voted “Best of Las Vegas” in the Las Vegas Review-Journal readers’ poll.

The weekend of June 19 will start off with a fundraiser to benefit the Zion Canyon. Hosted by Eva Pelton and her nonprofit group, YAZ, there will be an ‘80s dance party that will have you boogying under the stars. Saturday, June 20, brings the world renowned Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company to the stage. The Salt Lake Tribune proclaims that Ririe-Woodbury sets a new standard for Utah Modern Dance. Prepare to be enchanted as you witness modern dance in its highest form.

Lao Tizer rounds out the month on June 29 with a performance that has been described as an explosive mix of jazz, rock, and classical with jam band influences and Afro Cuban world rhythms. Having thrilled audiences all over the world, Lao Tizer will bring its award-winning music to one of the nation’s premier outdoor amphitheaters. This is going to be a show to add in bold ink to your calendar.
