Odyssey Dance Theatre holds “Thriller” auditions at TuacahnOn Saturday, Aug. 20, from noon to 5 p.m., Odyssey Dance Theatre will hold cast auditions for its Halloween spectacular, “Thriller,” at the Tuacahn dance studio. Auditions for the part of Chucky run from noon to 3 p.m., and youth zombie cast auditions will be held from 3 to 5 p.m.

Anyone auditioning to play Chucky must be between the ages of 9 and 13 and no taller than 5 feet. Choreography for the part of Chucky can be found here.

Those wishing to audition should learn the choreography and sign up for individual time slots via Sign Up Genius. At the top of each hour, a staff member will be available for a 10-minute review of the posted choreography and for the teaching of one additional piece of choreography for the audition. There will only be eight casts this year, and auditioners will be informed via email whether or not they have been cast. Click here to access the sign up list. Chucky casts will be selected to perform in “Thriller” in Richfield Oct. 18 and at Tuacahn Oct. 22–29.

Dancers auditioning for the youth zombie cast must be at least 14 years old and should be able to execute at least a double pirouette and have strong jazz technique.

Odyssey Dance Theatre performs to critical acclaim and standing ovations at home and on tour internationally, most notably in Beijing, coinciding with the Summer Olympics.
