Party in the Park offers free movies, concerts in Cedar City
By Susie Knudsen
Party in the Park is back this summer to kick off summer with free big-screen movies and live music. In conjunction with the Larry H. Miller Utah Summer Games, SUU Community Education will present Friday night events June 7 and 21 at Cedar City’s Main Street Park. Admission to the event is free.
The Party in the Park pre-show starts at 7:30 p.m. with Funtime Inflatables, vendors, and live music provided by SUU’s Red Rockers. Movies will begin at sunset (approximately 9:30 p.m.) each evening with “Remember the Titans” June 7, and “Big Hero 6” June 21.
This favorite summertime annual event brings local residents, athletes, and visitors together to enjoy warm summer nights in the heart of downtown. More than 9,000 athletes come to Cedar City each year for the Larry H. Miller Utah Summer Games, and they bring an estimated 30,000 family members with them.
