A few hundred people gathered in the shade of the large trees of Vernon Worthen Park Monday evening to listen to the dulcet tones of folk band Otter Creek. Concertgoers brought blankets and lawn chairs to make themselves comfortable under clear skies and warm, beautiful weather. The Salt Lake City-based duo entertained with a variety of musical styles, classically folk instruments, and detailed storytelling, both in and out of song.
Concert in the Park, a free event co-sponsored by the City of St. George and the National Endowment for the Arts, is a long-running seasonal concert series featuring a variety of performers and is held the second Monday of each month, April through September.
