PHOTO GALLERY: St. George Temple is all lit up for Christmas! By Bob Kulon

It’s a holiday tradition for many folks to drive around Southern Utah and check out the many Christmas decorations and lights in the area. If you’re driving around “light gazing” this holiday season, be sure to add the St. George Temple, 250 E. 400 South, to your list of spots to visit! Each year, hundreds of volunteers spend hours decking the temple grounds with thousands of Christmas lights. The life-sized Nativity scene, complete with audio narration, is also a local favorite.

All are welcome to walk through the temple grounds during open hours and enjoy the lovely decorations, sit on one of the many benches and gaze at the lights, and view the free exhibits and movies in the Visitor’s Center.

For a list of current exhibits and events at the St. George Temple Visitor’s Center, call (435) 673-5181. The Visitor’s Center is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
