Night out with Public Safety

Written by Greta Hyland

Come hang out with firefighters, EMTs, and police officers on Friday, May 8, for a “Night out with Public Safety.” Ivins and Santa Clara public safety departments would like to reconnect with residents by hosting a fun night at the Center Street Fire Station and Park in Ivins from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. There will be free hot dogs, chips, and drinks as well as three-legged races with public safety personnel, a dunk tank, tug ‘o war, and a bounce house.

But it’s not just fun and games. The public is invited to register to run in a 1K or 5K race to raise funds for the family of local resident Lynette Beck who has stage four cancer. You will get a free T-shirt if you run. Race begins at 5:30. Donations are also appreciated. There will also be prizes donated by local businesses.

If you cannot make it but would like to donate, please contact Captain Rodgers at [email protected]
