RSQ Dogs+

Tulipsouthern utah adoptable pets Tulip

My name is Tulip, and I’m as beautiful as my namesake. I’m an 8-week old border Collie/German shepherd mix. I was orphaned at one week old and when I opened my eyes a few days later I had a new mommy. Jade took me and my four siblings in and did a great job raising us. Now I need to find my fur-ever family.

Libertysouthenr utah adoptable pets Liberty

Liberty was surrendered by her owner along with her 3 sisters. She was born early March 2019, is a hound mix and weighs about 30 lbs. She is a sweet, friendly, adventurous puppy who does well on a leash and enjoys playing with other dogs. With some training and daily exercise, Liberty would make a loving addition to any family.

Savannahsouthern utah adoptable pets Savannah

Savannah came to RSQ Dogs so dehydrated she was in severe kidney failure and unable to make milk for her puppies. They were told she had only hours left to live. Yet she remained sweet, trusting, and strong in her will to live. With loving care by RSQ Dogs amazing rescue team Savannah is now a healthy, happy girl. She enjoys walks and playing with her doggie friends (she is a bit of a boisterous play pal so a dog with equal energy would be best). Please give this amazing dog a chance for a kind, loving furever home.

Hazesouthern utah adoptable pets Haze

Haze is about two years old. This gorgeous boy is looking for his forever home! He came to RSQ Dogs+ in terrible shape. He has made a great recovery, but he can sometimes take a little time to warm up. He is very curious and would make a fun addition to any family.

Tiannasouthern utah adoptable pets Tianna

Anna and Tianna are darling siblings and hard to tell apart. They were born premature and were lucky to survive, Their personalities are very different. Anna is shyer, but if you just sit still she will come up and want to play. Tianna is way more social and loves to lay right on you. These two don’t have to be adopted together, but cats do love to have a friend!

Duckysouthern utah adoptable pets Ducky

Ducky is a total goofball who loves to make silly faces and give kisses. After being rescued during Hurricane Harvey, he’s been so happy and excited about every part of life. Born in 2014, Ducky is the perfect blend of affectionate and independent. He loves spending time with people on walks, and he is a great hiking buddy. During downtime, he is totally content to play with his toys on his own. Ducky can get very excited and jumpy with people he likes, but he can also get overwhelmed and nervous with petting. Ducky has a history of guarding his food, and he has bitten in the past to protect it. He’s made significant improvements with all the training he’s done at the Sanctuary, but his new person or family will need to keep working with him. Once the food bowl is put away, Ducky is the most happy-go-lucky character. If you’re looking for a dog who knows how to be the class clown, he would love to meet you.

Smokeysouthern utah adoptable pets Smokey

Smokey is shy with people, but he loves walks and food so that is the key to his heart. He needs time to get comfortable in new places and with new people, but he will accept treats and warm up quickly. He is not yet comfortable being petted or handled by people, but he loves doing activities with other dogs and learning from them. Smokey absolutely adores other dogs at the Sanctuary. He is very active and playful when he’s around them, and they help him build his confidence. Smokey was born in 2014 and came to Best Friends from a humane society in Idaho. He can jump fences, so he is considered a flight risk. In a former foster home, he was a bit of an escape artist, so he will need a home with a secure enclosure and someone with a watchful eye. At the Sanctuary, he is working on crate training, getting into and riding in a car and getting more comfortable with new places. He already walks well on a leash. Smokey will need some time to adjust to a new home, but with time and patience, he will make a wonderful companion.

Bosscosouthern utah adoptable pets Bossco

Bossco is a happy, energetic young dog. He loves people and is always happy to see you. He is very smart and loves learning new things. Bossco is enthusiastic about life in general but he gets especially excited to do nose work, a fun search and scenting sport. Since coming to the Sanctuary, Bossco has become an expert at it. Born in 2017, Bossco has some respiratory issues that limit his ability to go for walks with the leash clipped to a collar or certain harnesses, but he is currently trying a new harness that seems to help. He loves to run around in open spaces, do agility and get attention. Bossco gets very jumpy and mouthy when he gets excited, and he can jump fences. He’s working on being calm for leashing, not jumping on people and staying calm while getting attention. When it comes to attention, Bossco will want to be the center of it in a home of his own. He would do best as an only pet so you can give him all your love. He will give you all his love in return.

Brilynnsouthern utah adoptable pets Brilynn

Brilynn is very shy, but you can approach her slowly. She’s even intimidated by other cats and mostly keeps to herself. Born in February 2018, she came from a Colorado animal shelter. Brilynn is scared in new situations and tends to hide. She can get a little hissy, but never aggressive. This sweet girl is looking for someone who has a lot of love and patience.

Mistersouthern utah adoptable pets Mister

Mister is a social butterfly. He loves everyone, whether human or feline. Born in late summer 2018, he came from a California shelter. Mister has Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV), so he’ll need to be an only cat or live with other cats who have the virus. He is fun-loving, playful and loves laps. This purr box would be an asset to any home.

Matildasouthern utah adoptable pets Matilda

Matilda is a beautiful cat with gorgeous marking. Everyone who meets her remarks on her beautiful coat. She is an explorer who will dash out any door to see the world. She loves going outside in the stroller or walking on a harness. She can run hot and cold with both people and other cats. Sometimes she wants your attention, but only for a certain amount of time. With other felines, she can keep to herself, or chase them around. Matilda has Feline Leukemia (FeLV), so needs to be an only cat or live with other FeLV positive cats. Born in just April 2015, she is still young and has a lot of energy. They think once she matures and settles down, she’ll make a great lap cat.

Ringosouthern utah adoptable pets RINGO

Ringo is your typical sweet, mischievous, 10-week old puppy. He’s smart, fun, loves to play. He will get into things he shouldn’t but will grow up with the proper education to be a fantastic dog. Ringo might need a refresher when he moves into a home but he does know how to use the doggy door at That BAM Place. Ringo is looking for a foster-to-adopt home with the adoption finalizing when he is neutered. He will only be placed locally in order to assure he keeps his neuter appointment. His adoption fee is $150. To find out more about Ringo, contact by text or phone, Julie at (435) 773-5209.

Rubysouthern utah adoptable pets RUBY

This is one darling little Beagle. If you love Beagles, you’ll love Ruby. Still such a sweet girl … even after her trauma. She was injured when she fell from a car (Ruby should always be seat belted!) when she stood up to look out the window and rolled down the automatic window. Her belly and paws were horribly burned when she skidded along the pavement. She’s been in foster care recovering for a while but is looking for a family now. She does still need to have her paws seen by the vet and wrapped for a while longer. For that reason, she’s looking for a foster-to -adopt family. In other words, the family will be a foster family until her final vet check and then will become her adoptive family. To find out more about Ruby, text or call Julie at (435) 773-5209. Ruby’s adoption fee is $125.

Abbeysouthern utah adoptable pets ABBEY

Abbey joined the BAM family with her own family in tow — see our foster-to-adopt boys Paul and Ringo — but is now ready to put that life behind her. This looker is also a smarty pants. Abbey will roll over like it’s a party trick: she’s so excited to show it off and get praise or a treat in return. Abbey is also house-trained and knows to “kennel up” at BAM’s adoption center when it’s time for the volunteers to leave. She enjoys spending time with other dogs but she’s a big strong girl so they would want to introduce your dog(s) to her before finalizing an adoption to best ensure success. Abbey loves to play fetch and enjoys chew bones and toys in general — you just have to make sure she doesn’t destroy them unless that’s allowed. If you’re looking to add an eager-to-please, smart and fun-loving dog to your life please call or text Julie at (435) 773-5209 to arrange to meet Abbey. Her adoption fee is $125.

Rocky

Rocky is a handsome young dog, dark gray in color and approximately 3 years old. He’s very sweet and loving, and there is no place he’d rather be than in your lap. Although a bit cautious at first, he warms up quickly. He would be okay with older, respectful children but no toddlers, please. Rocky would do best in a home with another dog as he does have some separation anxiety. He knows some basic commands and enjoys trips to the dog park. He walks well on a leash and enjoys car rides. Rocky’s adoption fee is $125. To make an appointment to meet him, contact Phyllis at (435) 705-9227.

Harleysouthern utah adoptable pets Harley

Harley is a sweet, loving, loyal young dog who gets along well with other dogs. He’s a “tweener” meaning he’s between a little dog and big dog and is the perfect size. He is good with older children but how he handles young children is unknown since they have none with whom to test him. BAM believes he would be fine with a child of any age as long as the child is respectful. He is housebroken using a doggy door, crate trained and likes to go for car rides. He still has that puppy energy and his worst habit seems to be jumping when he’s overly excited. His adoption fee is $125. To set a time to meet Harley please text or call Julie at (435) 773-5209.

Princesssouthern utah adoptable pets PRINCESS

Princess could have easily been named after an Egyptian pharaoh with her striking “eyeliner.” This young adult has a lot of life ahead of her and would love to find someone interested in continuing the basic obedience training she’s learning in foster care (she already knows “sit” and has mastered puppy dog eyes). She is a solid girl but not too tall and is as affectionate as she is smiley! Princess enjoys being around her people and will do best in a home without small children. Having another dog as a companion and playmate could be ideal. They aren’t completely sure what breed blend Princess is but did learn in their adoption center that she’s a skilled jumper though she hasn’t displayed the same when around baby gates in her foster home. Given her abilities, a person or family looking for a walking/hiking companion or with a tall-fenced yard for her to be outside off-leash would be best. Knowledge or experience with strong breeds would be a bonus for Princess. Contact Alison by text at (541) 936-1766 (or leave a voicemail for a call back) or email admin@becauseanimalsmatter.com if you would like to learn more or to schedule a meet and greet for you (and your dog).
