  1. Please add: Cedar City Arts Council January Networking Social

CEDAR CITY, UT, JAN. 19 – The Cedar City Arts Council (CCAC) is pleased to present their January networking social in the Heritage Center Theater’s upper level conference room on Monday, Jan. 25 at 7 p.m. The public is invited to this free event.

The program features creative work presented by artist Gina O’Neal, a vocal performance by the Fiddlers Elementary School Choir, and catering by local culinary master Miguel Mercedes. Announcements regarding upcoming community arts events, including grant opportunities and educational workshops will be shared by the CCAC leadership.

O’Neal, a quilting and fiber artist, will present her creative work entitled, “Stitches that Heal.” She used the funding she received from her CCAC grant to create this work.

The Fiddlers Elementary School Choir, another CCAC grant recipient, used their grant to purchase needed supplies and equipment. The choir, led by Francessca Merdes, will perform as entertainment.

Complimentary fare will be prepared and served by Miguel Mercedes, one of Cedar City’s newest fine culinary artists.

“Mercedes’ cuisine is both inventive and delicious,” says local food enthusiast Michael French.

Community members who have talents or an interest in the literary, performing, and visual arts are welcome and encouraged to attend. Admission to this event is free and open to the public.

The Heritage Center Theater is located at 105 N. 100 E. in Cedar City. Entrance from the 2nd level of the parking terrace provides direct access to the upper level conference room. For more information contact CCAC Board Member Denise Purvis at 435-865-8024.
