Southern Utah Weekend Events Guide: Videocast and Weather

This weekend is all about Saturday in southern Utah, and The Independent has a list of events for you to join in on, starting with the Color Me Rad 5K. With cloud cover Friday and a chance for rain on Saturday and Sunday, be sure to stay dry and stay safe. 1Color Me Rad 5K

The Color Me Rad 5K run will be Saturday, Oct. 17 at 9 a.m. Make sure to stop by the packet pickup Friday between 3 and 7 p.m. at the old airport where the race will be held to get your race time and other information. Get there Saturday morning 45 minutes before your scheduled race time and be a part of a day full of color and fun. There is a chance for rain so be prepared. Temperatures will be in the low- to mid-70s to start the day.

2Zion Canyon Farmers Market ending

There are only a few more weeks for most of the farmers markets that line the southern Utah area. Selling fresh produce, crafts and baked goods, these markets happen every Saturday morning in St. George, Cedar City, Springdale and Veyo. This will be the last weekend of the Zion Canyon Farmers Market for the season, so don’t miss out! Check our Events Calendar at http://suindependent.com/ for times and locations.

3ZCBP hosts The Hawk Brothers

The Zion Canyon Brew Pub has another live performance out on their patio Saturday afternoon. Catch The Hawk Brothers play their contemporary rock from 4 to 7 p.m. Temperatures will be in the low-80s with a forecast for rain and lightning, so stay covered.

4Mesquite Oktoberfest

Oktoberfest is hitting Mesquite. Starting Saturday, Oct. 17, and continuing on Oct. 24 and 31, enjoy all of the festivities Oktoberfest has to offer. All three days will be held at the Eureka Hotel and Casino from 4 to 8 p.m.

5Branson Anderson at George’s Corner

Hit George’s Corner in Ancestor Square Saturday evening to hear live music from Branson Anderson. It will be a night of folk starting at 8 p.m.
