Another weekend is ahead of us, and there are enough events to keep you entertained all weekend long starting Friday night with live music.

Head over to George’s Corner Friday night to see the Pine Mountain Bluegrass Band play their soulful bluegrass style. Enjoy a night of dinner and music starting at 8 p.m.

Don’t forget to make your Saturday morning stop to one of four farmers markets happening in the southern Utah area. With markets in St. George, Springdale and Cedar City, you are full of options to get fresh produce and baked goods. Check our Events Calendar at suindependent.com for times and locations.

If you’ll be taking a trip down to Mesquite Saturday night, then see another live performance for the Casapalooza Concert Series starting at 7 p.m. Hear a Journey Tribute with the best of Journey and more being performed by Lights while chilling by the pool. Admission is free, and the show is 21 and over. The pool will be open during the concert, so throw on your swim suit and relax while you jam.

For a night at the theater, see the opening of Beauty and the Beast at Tuacahn Amphitheater. Catch this classic Disney tale at 8:45 p.m. This show will run through Oct. 17.

Have a memorable weekend by getting out and enjoying the events and entertainment available in southern Utah.

And don’t forget to catch The Independent’s Sunday Edition, available exclusively at SUindependent.com. Every week we feature local news, stories, features, opinions, cartoons and events, many of which you’ll not find anywhere else, and it is free! Subscribe at SUindependent.com.
