The St. George Chamber of Commerce and the Washington County School District Foundation have combined to bring southern Utah a Halloween festival that’s unparalleled. The Spooky Town Fair, a two-day festival, will be complete with vendor booths, food, continuous entertainment, carnival games, bounce houses, and more. Held at the St. George Town Square on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 23 and 24, this huge festival is free and open to the public.
Live entertainment will include bluegrass, oldies, folk, dance, jazz, and Polynesian performers and more. With the support of the foundation, a children’s play area will provide activities including bounce houses, a pirate dig, a costume contest, a zip line, a 100-foot inflatable slide and many others.
“This is a great way for the community to help support the Washington County School District and local business in a fun outdoor venue,” says St. George Chamber president Gregg McArthur. “It’s a centrally located place to find local vendors and a great place for consumers and area residents to get to know a good number of local businesses.”
New this year is the partnership with the St. George Book Festival. They will be providing a book expo extravaganza, a “become your own storyteller” event, superhero characters, a hamburger-eating contest provided by McDonald’s, and special guests including Max the Magician and Justin Osmond.
Held in partnership with the City of St. George and sponsored by Theurer Orthodontics and Stephen Wade Auto Center, this family-friendly festival has something for everyone. Proceeds from this event benefit the students of Washington County.
