After a two-month closure for “refreshing,” the St. George Temple Visitors’ Center at 490 S 300 E reopened officially on February 29.

“We have looked forward with anticipation to the face-lift the Visitors’ Center has received, said Elder Brent Cleverly, the Visitors’ Center Director since January 2015. “Everyone will sense a newness about the building. But the most intriguing changes that have taken place are the new displays that highlight missionary work and the Book of Mormon. We invite all to come spend as much time as their busy lives will allow to sit in the new ‘8 Stories’ exhibit, or explore the new interactive presentations that teach important gospel principles or just walk the newly carpeted halls and feel the spirit of peace the Visitors’ Center has to offer.”

The Visitors’ Center is open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tours are conducted by missionaries on a walk-in request basis. To better accommodate large groups, the center recommends calling (435) 673-5181 to make a reservation. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints operates visitors’ centers with free admission throughout the world to help explain the church’s beliefs to the public. Each visitors’ center is unique. For more information about the Visitors’ Center or the other historical sites operated by the church, call the number above, or visit the Visitors’ Center Facebook page.
