Wasatch Mountains I-80 North-Wasatch Mountains South of I-80-
Western Uinta Mountains-Wasatch Plateau/Book Cliffs-
Central Mountains-Southern Mountains-
Including the cities of Woodruff, Randolph, Alta, Brighton,
Mirror Lake Highway, Scofield, Cove Fort, Koosharem, Fish Lake,
Loa, Panguitch, and Bryce Canyon

…WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM MDT THIS
AFTERNOON…

* AFFECTED AREA…The Wasatch and Western Uinta Mountains, the
Wasatch Plateau and Book Cliffs, along with the Central and
Southern Mountains of Utah.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS…Additional accumulations of 1 to 4 inches,
with the greatest accumulations above 8000 feet.

* TIMING…Across the northern and central mountains, snow will
continue, heavy at times, before gradually decreasing in
intensity during afternoon hours. Across the southern mountains,
snow will continue to become more widespread this afternoon
prior to tapering early this evening.

* IMPACTS…Winter driving conditions can be expected periodically
along all high elevation routes, with the greatest travel
impacts occurring during periods of intense snowfall. Periods of
slush remain possible higher passes along I- 15, especially near
the Cove Fort area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that snow accumulations
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads. Use caution while driving.
