Mesquite Gaming, in partnership with Barry Meyer’s World-Famous Tuff-N-Uff The Future Stars of MMA, held its mixed martial arts amateur fighting championship event, “Mayhem in Mesquite IX,” Aug. 13 at the CasaBlanca Events Center at CasaBlanca Resort. The ninth installment of the popular Mayhem in Mesquite series drew a crowd of more than 1,000 to the CasaBlanca Resort. In the end, Shane “White Orc” Shapiro, fighting out of the Xtreme Couture gym, took home the coveted championship belt during the 155-lb. lightweight bout in the third round.
The card featured MMA fighters from Xtreme Couture, Syndicate MMA, Cobra Kai, Fusion MMA, 9th Isle BJJ, Uprising MMA, and UFC Gym with fighters from Nevada, Utah, Arizona, and California.
