42nd Annual Utah Midsummer Renaissance Faire

What would you give to travel back in time and visit with a special friend that you knew when you were younger? I am sure that all that are old enough to read this article have wondered what it would be like to “time travel” and find out just what happened to a very special relative or friend that you still have fond feelings for. Here is some exciting news. Coming soon is a chance that your wish may be granted. Well at least in part, your desire to meet someone from your past. This time warp will be arriving in Cedar City on Wednesday, July 17, 2024. It will only last until Saturday night, July 20, 2024. You may also know it as the “42nd Annual Utah Midsummer Renaissance Faire”. It will be held again on Main Street Park in Southern Utah’s Festival City.
One of the best things about the event is it’s Free. That is right; there is no charge for you or any of your family or friends to attend this fun-filled event. You can travel back in time for four days and experience what it may have been like in a time almost forgotten by the fast-paced world we live in today. Who knows, but that special friend that you have been wondering about just might also show up. If you do not find that special soul mate, there are so many amazing things to see and do that you may forget all about that long-lost love.
As you enter the park, you will embark on an adventure as you step back in time and immerse yourself in a fantastic world of Noblemen, Kings, Pirates, Wenches, Fairies, Mermaids, and much, much more. You will see demonstrations of weaving, blacksmithing, chainmail, sword fighting, and other intriguing crafts. If you, by chance, are hungry, we have treats for your discerning palate. How about turkey legs, roasted corn on the cob, Quesabirria or street tacos, orange chicken & rice, nuts and berries, and the King’s own Kettle Korn, all this and more cooked right on sight? But wait, there is more. Free fabulous entertainment.
For the young guests and those young at heart, we have a host of exciting activities. Fun Time Inflatables with rides and challenging activities for all. Pony rides and a chance to meet Queen Elizabeth at “The Queen’s Closet,” who will send children on quests and present favors to those who complete them.
There will be all kinds of crafters and vendors for every taste and interest. All with a Renaissance flare and flavor. Visit the Guilds around the park as they show off their talents in Sword fighting and jousting.
But wait, there’s more.
All day, there will be “Free” entertainment on the “Kedronvale Stage” in the park, including RaKumba Belly Dancers, Desert Nomads, the Mad Harpist, and Mermaids. Comedian “Yonathan the Bard” will be returning once again, along with “Vinney the Bard” with his musical talents.
In addition to all of this we will hold our “Kids Entertainment” on Saturday beginning at 10:00 AM on the main stage. We are excited to give some time for local young people to share their talents with you.
One might ask again, “How much does it cost you to come and participate in the Renaissance Faire? No charge, it is ABSOLUTELY FREE. And who knows, you may meet that special person that you have been wondering about all these years.
