US Forest Service and Zion National Park Forever Project Announce Historic Partnership for Dixie National Forest and Opening of Pine Valley Heritage Center Store
The US Forest Service and the Zion National Park Forever Project, the official nonprofit partner for Zion National Park, Cedar Breaks, and Pipe Spring National Monuments, are excited to announce a new non-profit partnership. This collaboration will focus on improving the care and preservation of Southern Utah’s public lands, officially making the Zion National Park Forever Project a non-profit partner for the Dixie National Forest.
The partnership will see the Zion Forever Project operating a new retail venture at the Pine Valley Heritage Center, situated at the gateway to Pine Valley. The proceeds from this operation will be instrumental in providing and funding new onsite education programs and trail improvement projects. This partnership also brings the Pine Valley Heritage Center online as a source of information about the forest and its diverse recreation opportunities. We are excited to invite the public to join us in celebrating the opening of the Pine Valley season and the new retail location at the Pine Valley Heritage Center, located at 132 E Main St, Pine Valley, UT 84781. The festivities will occur on May 24 and 25, starting at 10 AM daily.
Come and enjoy activities suitable for all ages. There will be live music, campfire hotdogs, and a host of forest-related activities, including nighttime programs at the campsites. It’s the perfect opportunity to experience the rich history of Pine Valley and enjoy a day out with family and friends.
Reflecting on the partnership, Natalie Britt, President and CEO of the Zion National Park Forever Project, expressed, “This collaboration symbolizes a shared commitment to preserving our national treasures for future generations.
