With fall colors fading and cooler weather settling across the plateau, Cedar Breaks National Monument has begun its annual transition toward winter operations.

Several park facilities are now closed for the season, while State Route 148 will remain open until snow accumulation makes travel unsafe.

The new Cedar Breaks Visitor Center, Zion Forever Project Store, and Human History Museum are now closed for the season and will reopen in late spring when conditions allow.

All flush restrooms at the Visitor Center are closed, but vault toilets at the Point Supreme Picnic Area remain available, though they will not be serviced during the winter months. Access may become limited once snow accumulates.

Cedar Breaks National Monument staff thanked visitors for a beautiful fall season and encouraged everyone to monitor road and weather conditions before traveling to high elevations.
