Southern Utah residents will have an opportunity this April to take a proactive step toward their health as Right Path Screenings brings its traveling preventive health clinic to Cedar City and St. George for two days of community screening events.

The nonprofit healthcare provider, which has offered preventive screenings since 1986, will host ultrasound screening appointments Monday, April 27, at Cedar City Leisure Services, 2090 W. Royal Hunte Dr., in Cedar City. The following day, Tuesday, April 28, the clinic will operate at the St. George Community Building, 245 N. 200 W., in St. George.

Right Path Screenings focuses on early detection of potential health risks including heart disease, stroke, thyroid conditions, circulatory problems, and certain abdominal abnormalities. The screening package uses ultrasound technology and takes approximately 45 minutes to complete.

The screenings examine 11 areas of the body, including heart function, carotid arteries, thyroid health, abdominal aorta, liver, kidneys, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, atrial fibrillation indicators, and peripheral circulation. Participants also receive checks of blood pressure, pulse, and blood oxygen levels. According to the organization, patients receive a detailed report with ultrasound images immediately following the appointment.

Preventive screenings like these can help identify potential health concerns before symptoms appear. Early detection can play an important role in improving treatment options and long-term health outcomes.

The full screening package is offered for $220, and appointments are required.

Community members interested in participating can schedule appointments online at rightpathscreenings.org or by phone at 602-254-7130.
