The Stage Door presents the Tony Award-winning musical Dear Evan Hansen, running September 24 through October 10. Featuring a book by Steven Levenson and a score by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, the acclaimed show explores connection, belonging, and youth mental health.
Directed by Jalee Scott, with music direction by Celeste Dixon, the musical follows Evan Hansen, an isolated high school student who finds himself thrust into the center of a rapidly evolving lie following a tragedy. As his fabrication grows, Evan must face the true cost of belonging.
“At its heart, Dear Evan Hansen is a story about the universal human need for connection,” said Director Jalee Scott. “We are honored to bring this powerful story to St. George.”
Dear Evan Hansen runs Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30 PM, with a matinee on October 3 at 2 PM.
All performances for both productions will take place at The Electric Theater, 68 E. Tabernacle St., St. George, UT 84770. The Cottage is presented through Dramatists Play Service (DPS), and Dear Evan Hansen through Music Theatre International (MTI).
