The sixteenth annual Carmel Mountain Car Show is returning to Mt. Carmel Junction from September 25 through September 26, 2026, offering car lovers and families a weekend of classic chrome and community celebration. Set against the beautiful red-rock backdrop of the Thunderbird Golf Course, this beloved Southern Utah tradition showcases a spectacular lineup of classic and custom cars, trucks, motorcycles, and vintage RVs.

The festivities kick off on Friday, September 25 with a scenic Poker Run starting at Hutch’s Auto Parts CARQUEST in Kanab. The fun continues later that afternoon with the Party on the Green from 4 PM to 7 PM at the Thunderbird Golf Course. On Saturday, September 26, the main Car Show runs from 9 AM to 3 PM, featuring longtime Utah radio personality and car-show favorite J.C. Hackett, who will spin classic oldies and serve as the Master of Ceremonies.

This year’s event offers several unique highlights, including a chance for one lucky attendee to drive away in a classic 1936 Buick. Automotive fans can also meet popular YouTube builders and personalities, including FabRats, Merlin’s Old School Garage, NavajoTash, 89 Built, and Chad’s Fab. For those looking to see the red rocks from a new angle, helicopter rides will be available throughout the weekend. Additionally, the Utah Highway Patrol will present an interactive crash-safety experience to demonstrate seat-belt safety.

Beyond the vehicles, families can enjoy delicious food, local vendors, various contests, prizes, and the legendary Thunderbird Pie Eating Contest. Best of all, the event proudly supports the Wounded Warrior Project, helping give back to the nation’s veterans. Whether you are a lifelong gearhead or just looking for a fun weekend in the canyons, the car show offers something memorable for everyone.
