Many Miles began in 2007 when vocalist, guitarist and singer-songwriter Dave Tate was writing and performing in Salt Lake City. He began a long-distance musical correspondence with Swedish singer Victoria Lagerstrom. The two began sending music back and forth and soon agreed they wanted to collaborate on an album. Lagerstrom traveled from her native Sweden to write and record an album with Tate. The two soon fell in love and were married three weeks later; Lagerstrom never used her return ticket to Sweden. Since that time, the couple’s musical journey has taken them across the western United States often traveling with everything they owned in the back of their truck.

Now integral to the dynamic sound of Many Miles are the seasoned players backing up Tate and Lagerstrom. With years under his belt as a professional touring musician signed to Capitol Records, guitarist Ryan Tilby has played venues around the world with bands such as Ryan Shupe and the Rubber Band. Bassist Steve Lemmon has also toured worldwide with such bands as Shauna Burns, Peter Breinholt, and Sam Payne. In demand drummer Chris Flaig’s deceptively complex polyrhythms are a driving force behind the Many Miles large sound. Sitting in on saxophone on special occasions, Marco Blackmore’s soaring lead lines and jazz solos are intricate and captivating.

The show will include performances by Lyonhead. Fronted by Jared Johnson and Alice Erickson and inspired by the likes of Rival Sons, The Black Keys, and Alabama Shakes, Lyonhead plays their own brand of rock ‘n’ roll.
