1George Streetfest on Main
This month’s First Friday event is going country. Don’t miss out on live performances from some great country artists as well as food trucks, craft booths, the jazz and beer garden, and much more. Enjoy a night on Main Street for September’s George Streetfest on Main. The event runs from 6 to 10 p.m. in between St. George Blvd. and Tabernacle every first Friday of the month. Weather will still be warm for this weekend’s event, with temperatures in the mid- to low-90s.
2Peach Days
The 17th annual Peach Days Celebration in Hurricane will kick things off Friday night starting at 7 p.m. and continue through Saturday, Sept. 5. Featuring a rodeo, parade, 12K run, live performances from Raven Cain and other artists, a peach cook-off and much more, you will want to be a part of celebrating Hurricane’s heritage. Temperatures will be in the low- to high -90s throughout both days. Watch for high winds on Saturday.
3Farmers Markets
Saturday mornings call for farmers markets in southern Utah. With five markets located in St. George, Cedar City, Springdale and Veyo, you have many options for fresh food and produce to get your morning started off right. Check out our Events Calendar at suindependent.com for times and locations.
4Casapoolooza
The Casablanca Hotel and Casino in Mesquite is hosting its final Casapoolooza of the summer on Saturday night. The featured band playing poolside is “Yellow Brick Road.” Doors will open at 7 p.m. with a live DJ, and the band will hit the stage at 8 p.m. The event is 21 and over and admission is free. Even with clouds and wind, the weather will be nice in the mid-90s.
5Ryan Shupe and the Rubber Band
Head out to Springdale Saturday night for Ryan Shupe and the Rubber Band playing live as part of the O.C. Tanner Concert Series in Zion National Park. You have to catch this fun band play their rock and bluegrass jams. Show starts at 8 p.m. It should be a beautiful night with temps in the mid- to low-80s.
6Neon Nights Reloaded
For a night full of neon, get to Toadz Bar in Cedar City Saturday for Neon Nights Reloaded. This event will feature giveaways, EDM DJs, go-go dancers and more. Dress up in your glow apparel and hit the bar by 9 p.m. for free entrance. After 10 p.m., admission is $5.
