Casting call! Auditions for ‘The Three Princes’ at the Hurricane Art Center Theatre April 7
The Independent
On Tuesday, April 7, from 5pm – 6:30pm the Hurricane Art Center Theatre, located at 92 South 100 West, will be holding auditions for “The Three Princes.” They are looking for all age groups to fill parts ranging from princesses and warriors to dwarves and fairies. Be ready to cold read. Show dates will be May 18 – May 30.
“The Three Princes” is based on the combination of three fairy tales: Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and Rapunzel.
In the land of Quinn, a young Lord is apprenticed to a Magician because of the loss of his family’s wealth. As he grows he becomes a faithful servant to his master and a great wizard himself. The young wizard falls in love with a Princess, who is unaware of his love, and he becomes embittered when she marries the King.
Twenty years later, the apprentice is now a Dark Sorcerer, who endeavors to use his powers to ruin the lives of the three sons of the woman he once loved (now the Queen) and to keep each of them from their one true love.
The story unfolds as the Princes fight to save their women from Evil Stepmothers, Wicked Witches, Black Fairies, Demonic Hordes, and a fire‐breathing Dragon‐ which takes a little help from a sassy Fairy Godmother.
And of course, everything turns out just right and they live happily ever after…
Maybe.
