Ivins No Kill Animal Supporters (INKAS) will be holding its annual fundraiser, the Fur and Purr Benefit, on Saturday, Oct. 24. The event will be held at the beautiful Entrada Country Club from 6 to 9 p.m. Organizers promise this fun event will offer a delicious buffet, door prizes, live and silent auctions, live music, strolling entertainers, a cash bar, and much more. The evening will be emceed by Rich Hughes. Ivins Police Chief Bob Flowers will lead the live auction.
Since its inception, INKAS has supplied many of the needs of the Ivins shelter, which was the first Utah municipality to support the no-kill philosophy. INKAS assistance has ranged from quarantine cages to peanut butter to be stuffed in the training devices they donated. They purchased patio covers for the outside cat areas, litter boxes, harnesses, leashes, and donut beds. INKAS paid for the directional signs throughout Ivins City to help people locate the shelter. They pay for grooming when needed, specialty food such as mother’s milk replacement and kitten and puppy food, and assistance in paying veterinarian bills.
Fur and Purr Benefit tickets are $45 per person for advance purchases and $50 at the door. Tickets can be purchased by calling Ruth at (435) 669-1670 or visiting the website, inkas4pets.org. All proceeds go to help the homeless animals of Ivins and Santa Clara. INKAS, a 501(c)(3) organization is asking the community to join them in helping support the Ivins Animals Shelter and their no-kill mission.
