Historic St. George Live
The St. George Art Museum presents Historic St. George Live at 10 a.m. every Tuesday through Saturday until August 30. Bring the entire family to watch historical figures like Orson Pratt, Brigham Young, and Jacob Hamblin come alive. Tickets are $3 per person. Children 11 and under are free. Rockville Bridge Artists’ Reception
The Historic Rockville Bridge will be displayed in various artistic vision by local artists at the Canyon Community Center from June 1 through July 11. Come be the first to see this incredible collection of art and bid at our silent auction. A portion of all sales will be contributed to the Rockville Bridge Fund. “Charly: A Love Song”
Jack Weyland’s famous book, “Charly,” comes to life at Brigham’s Playhouse in a musical adaption written by Heather Young and Lex De Azevedo. This romantic comedy will be showing at 7 p.m. every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday through July 2. Ticket prices vary, and children under 5 are not permitted. “First Freedom”
Award-winning playwright Rob Lauer and Emmy Award-winning, Utah composer Sam Cardon bring a powerful new musical, “First Freedom,” to the stage at Brigham’s Playhouse every Wednesday and Friday at 7 p.m. and every Saturday at 2 p.m. until July 2. This combination of humor, suspense, and gripping music tells the story of Thomas Jefferson and James Madison’s fight for humankind’s most fundamental right: freedom of religion. Tickets vary in price and can be purchased online at Brigham’s Playhouse.
Mesquite Amateur 2016
The 14th Annual Mesquite Amateur is a five-day, 54-hole tournament being held this Thursday and Friday. This event is one of the largest handicapped amateur tournaments in the nation. The top four participants from each flight will complete in the 18-hole championship round at the CasaBlanca Golf Club. Visit the Mesquite Amatuer for more information about this event.
June Moon Jubilee and George Streetfest
George Streetfest on Main combines this month with the June Moon Jubilee to celebrate its one year anniversary this Friday from 6 to 11:30 p.m. and Saturday from 11:30 p.m. to midnight. Come enjoy the live music on the main stage and the jazz and beer garden in Ancestor Square. Vendor booths and delicious booths will be available all night. “The Locket – A New Musical”

The Comedy Machine
The Casablanca Resort in Mesquite presents The Comedy Machine every first Friday of the month. Adam Stone, Marc YaFee, and Cookie Hull take the stage at 8:30 p.m., and doors open at 7:30 p.m. Come enjoy this hysterical lineup at the Casablanca Showroom. Vandaveer: A Living Room Show
Vandaveer is an alt-folk musical project based out of Washington, D.C. and spearheaded by singer/songwriter Mark Charles Heidinger. They are currently on their spring tour and will be playing in the St.George area on June 3 at 8 p.m. This is an intimate performance being hosted in a private space. Please be respectful of the performance, the hosts, their home, and the neighbors as you come and go. Tickets are $20, and all profits go to the performers. Tarzan
Tuacahn Amphitheater brings an unforgettable experience to the stage in Disney’s timeless adventure, “Tarzan.” This musical play will show Monday through Saturday at 8:30 p.m. until October 12. This is the perfect family adventure for kids and adults. Ticket prices vary and can be purchased at The Tuacahn Center for the Performing Arts.
Eighth annual SunRiver Pet Festival
The eighth annual Pet Festival is being held this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at SunRiver in St. George. Vendor booths will be set up, including pet care, grooming, nutrition, pet sitters, and many more! Bring your family and pets for a morning filled with fun, door prizes, and good food! Admission is free to the public. Enter the cutest pet photo contest online. All proceeds will benefit local shelters and rescues. Hike for PAWS
The fifth “Hike for PAWS” will be start this Saturday with preregistration at 9 a.m. Local businesses have donated prizes for a fun drawing that will start before the hike. All hikers should meet at Nisson Park in Washington and gather around the PAWS sign by 9 a.m. Four-legged family members are encouraged to join, but PAWS does request that they remain on a leash. The hike will explore Pioneer Park, Dixie Rock, “The Slot,” and other beautiful views along this easy hike. LIT Summer Night
Utah’s largest bonfire rager is an all-night adventure that begins Saturday at 8 p.m. and runs to Sunday 11:30 a.m. This epic party will be hosted on a beautiful 20-acre venue just outside of St. George at The Shivwits Paiute Indian Reservation Festival Grounds in Ivins. Grab your friends, some camping gear, and a cooler full of food and drinks! Camping on the land is permitted and included in your admission fee. This event is ages 18 and older only.
