Kanab Middle School and Kanab High School will host the 18th annual Women’s Forum in Kanab March 11 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The theme for this year’s forum is “Make a Difference.” The forum features keynote speaker Timothy Ballard, CEO of Operation Underground Railroad, a private organization dedicated to the physical extraction and liberation of children who have been kidnapped, trafficked, and otherwise exploited throughout the world. Ballard will share stories of courage and the powerful will of the human spirit to survive and thrive through devastating circumstances. The forum also features workshops in areas of personal growth, home, family, health, and cooking; a catered lunch; and door prizes.
“We encourage women everywhere to come to the forum and leave with motivation to ‘Make a Difference,’” says Women’s Forum in Kanab chairperson Andrea Gilberg. “It could be as simple as making a change in your personal or family life, making a difference in your community or church. Maybe you have big dreams to make a difference in our country or world! Whether it be big or small, it does not matter, the effect it will have on you will positively influence your life and empower you to be better.”
