Zion National Park’s visitor use management planning group has released preliminary alternative concepts. The alternatives are intended to address the impacts to park resources and the quality of visitor experience associated with the unsustainable growth in visitation.
The alternative concepts were developed from public comments, National Park Service staff input, and other information gathered for this purpose, which include the park’s enabling legislation and the desired conditions identified in previous park plans.
The public can comment on these alternative concepts through Aug. 14. Comments can be submitted by going to the National Park Service, Planning, Environment, and Public Comment website at parkplanning.nps.gov/zion and selecting “Open for Comment.”
