Cracker, David Lowery, and Johnny Hickman will play at the Bit and Spur Aug. 19. The pair’s latest record, “Sunrise in the Land of Milk and Honey,” was recently released by 429 Records. The band says the album, which contains 11 tracks, is a “rich new trove of sharp-witted songs showcases a bristling, late 70’s–early 80’s power pop punk aesthetic which hits as hard as it did at the band’s formation 17 years ago.” Defining their genre as “Rock. Just rock … and a little bit of country too,” Cracker has put out eight albums, not counting its most recent, of which one went platinum and three have gone gold.
The show starts at 10 p.m. The Bit and Spur is located at 1212 Zion Park Blvd. in Springdale. For more information, call the Bit and Spur at (435) 772-3498.
