The CasaBlanca Hotel and Resort wants to invite you to join them for a weekend of memories and fun watching the world’s best Elvis tribute artists compete for prize money at the Elvis Rocks Mesquite competition from Thursday night, June 18, to Saturday, June 20. Elvis Rocks Mesquite is a heartfelt tribute to a man who changed the music world forever. News of this concert/show spreads quickly, so don’t wait long to get your tickets.
The Elvis Rocks Mesquite contest will include three preliminary rounds on Friday and Saturday based on the decades when this icon performed: the ‘50s, ‘60s, and ‘70s. Finalists from each preliminary round will move into the final round of competition on Saturday night.
The festivities kick off on Thursday, June 18, at 7 p.m. with a meet-and-greet social gathering in the Skydome Lounge with live music from the Dayna Collins Band. Admission is free, but you must be over 21 years old.
The Elvis Rocks Mesquite preliminaries kick off Friday at 2 p.m. in the CasaBlanca Showroom and run all day, finishing off with a karaoke party at 11 p.m. in the Skydome Lounge. All ages are welcome for the competition events, but tickets are required for those over three years old. The karaoke party will be free and is only for those over 21. Competition continues on Saturday at 2 p.m., with the final competition and awards scheduled for 8 p.m. However, it doesn’t end there. At 10:30 p.m., there will be a “Copy Cats” show with contestants showing off their other tribute talents. Again, tickets will be required for all of the competition events.
