Meet two dinosaurs that roamed southern Utah on Thursday, Jan. 29 at 7:30 p.m. at the Canyon Community Center in Springdale. Between 76 and 81 million years ago, two terrifying killers stalked southern Utah. The older one, named Lythronax and clocking in at 81 million years old, is the oldest known member of its family. Remarkably Lythronax is also very closely related to the advanced species T-rex. The younger one, named Teratophoneus, is 76 million years old and a close cousin to Lythronax.
Come hear the fascinating story presented by Dr. Alan Titus of the discovery of these two 30 foot long giants and how they’ve reshaped our view of tyrannosaurs, arguably one of the most famous predators of all time.
